CLEVELAND - A plaintiff whose claims against the welding consumables industry are scheduled for trial in November has asked a federal judge for a protective order for medical records related to a pre-litigation health screening. Street v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 1:06-CV-17026 [MDL No. 1535] (N.D. Ohio).
Richard Street said defendants' demand for records from physician Juan Sanchez-Ramos would destroy his "consulting expert privilege" and would yield little of value for the defense.
