PINE BLUFF, Ark. - A federal court has dismissed discrimination and employment claims by a defense worker who alleged that he was wrongfully discharged because of a respiratory condition attributable to work conditions. Roberts v. Geren, et al., No. 5:08CV00142SWS (E.D. Ark.).
Judge Susan Webber Wright of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas ruled on April 8 that Cecil Roberts, a former civilian employee at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, failed to demonstrate that he was treated differently because of his race, or that the U.S. Army should have accommodated his claimed disability.
