Texas High Court Denies Rehearing in Pulmosan Jurisdiction Dispute




AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Supreme Court has denied a motion to rehear a petition to review a ruling that held defendant Pulmosan Safety Equipment Corp to the specific jurisdiction of Texas courts for claims alleging injury from silica exposure. Pulmosan Safety Equipment Corp. v. Lamb, No. 09-0054 (Texas Sup. Ct.).

The high court denied Pulmosan's petition Jan. 22, after requesting a response from counsel for Plaintiff William Lamb, who said Pulmosan's protective hoods failed to protect him from dust that allegedly caused him to develop silicosis.
