Empire Abrasive Seeks Sanctions for Discovery Abuses, Deposition Conduct

OAKLAND, Calif. - Empire Abrasive Equipment Co. has asked a California judge to sanction a silica plaintiff for what the defendant says is a continued pattern of discovery abuses that culminated with a recent deposition where counsel allegedly encouraged the plaintiff to change his prior testimony. Craft v. Lone Star Industries, et al., No. RG05210489 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
