BOSTON - An insurer for frequent welding products defendant Airco Inc. is demanding that a reinsurer contribute nearly $500,000 for defense or resolution of underlying welding fume, asbestos and pollution claims. Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. v. Westport Insurance Co., No. 1:10-cv-10596 (D. Mass.).
In an April 9 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. alleges that Westport has wrongly refused to pay the reinsurance billing.
