LOS ANGELES - A California appellate court has affirmed judgment for a motion picture film processor sued by a former worker who attributed his bladder cancer to workplace chemical exposure. Bazzini v. Technicolor Inc., No. B205947 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).
The Court of Appeal, Second District, on Jan. 21 affirmed a lower court decision limiting Terry Bazzini's remedy to workers' compensation scheme.
Bazzini worked for defendant Technicolor from 1968 to 2005 and at various times was treated for rashes and dermatitis caused by contact with chemicals used in the workplace, according to the court's summary.
