OAKLAND, Calif. - Bridge workers alleging a host of welding injuries from work on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge have asked the judge for California's coordinated welding docket to consolidate claims of three to five plaintiffs for each upcoming trial. Aguirre v. ESAB, No. RG05-212890 [In re: Welding Products Cases, No. JCCP004368] (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
The motion by plaintiff Francisco Aguirre and other bridge workers was filed in the Alameda County (Calif.) Superior Court on Nov. 19. Presiding Judge Robert Freedman could consider the motion at the next scheduled case management hearing on Dec. 18.
