Mississippi Silica Case Settles on Eve of September Trial Date

PORT GIBSON, Miss. - What was expected to be the second silica case to proceed to trial in Mississippi this year has settled on the eve of jury selection, a source told HarrisMartin Publishing. McGraw v. Clark Sand Co. Inc., et al., No. n/a (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty.).
Charles Larry McGraw's case against Clark Sand Co. and Mississippi Valley Silica Co. was expected to be heard by jurors Sept. 29 in Claiborne County Circuit Court. However, sources said the case was resolved in its entirety and declined to provide further details, citing confidentiality.
