Court Declines to Overturn Defense Judgment in Paint Case

WACO, Texas - A Texas appellate court has affirmed summary judgment for an industrial firm that was sued by an employee who claimed injury from exposure to organic solvent vapors in paint. Boyd v. Texas Utilities Electric Co., et al., No. 10-08-00172-CV (Texas 10th Ct. of App.).

The 10th Court of Appeals concluded in a short opinion on Sept. 9 that William Boyd failed to provide evidence of an approximate dose to support his claim that he was overexposed to hazardous components in paint that was applied at his workplace.
