WILMINGTON, Del. - A Delaware trial court has vacated a workers' compensation award for an electrician claiming injury from exposure to toxic substances, saying the injury claimed has no known cause. Conti Electric v. Steppi, No. C.A. No. 09A-12-007-JEB (Del. Super. Ct., New Castle Cty.).
The Delaware Superior Court for New Castle County agreed with employer Conti Electric that an Industrial Accident Board's decision to award benefits to James Steppi was not supported by substantial evidence.
