OAKLAND, Calif. - An environmental consulting firm accused of failing to warn bridge workers of injurious levels of manganese fumes during a bridge construction project has moved for summary judgment, disputing plaintiffs' characterization of its role on the project. In re Welding Product Cases, No. JCCP No. 4368 [Link v. ESAB, et al., No. RG05 242754] (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
The motion by IHI Environmental Inc. was made on Aug. 12 in the coordinated Welding Product Cases pending before Alameda County Superior Court Judge Robert B. Freedman.
