CLEVELAND - Defendants in a case scheduled for trial in September have answered plaintiffs' amended complaint by denying that exposure to manganese in their client's welding products could have caused the neurological disorders alleged. Cooley v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. 1:05-CV-17734 [In Re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, No. 1535] (N.D. Ohio).

The answer was filed on July 16 by ESAB Group Inc.; Hobart Brothers Co.; the Lincoln Electric Co.; and Linde LLC (formerly The BOC Group Inc. and/or Airco Inc.).
