Plaintiffs' Counsel Withdraws from 19 Cases in MDL

CLEVELAND - Two plaintiffs firms have withdrawn as attorneys for 19 plaintiffs in May, saying their clients have failed to participate in their lawsuits. In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, No. 1:03-CV-17000 [MDL Docket No. 1535] (N.D. Ohio).

Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio granted the withdrawals in two separate orders and gave the plaintiffs 60 days in which to find alternate counsel or face dismissal for lack of prosecution.

The motions to withdraw were by the firms of Climaco, Lefkowitz, Peca, Wilcox & Garofoli and The Kaiser Firm.
