OAKLAND, Calif. - The Alameda County (Calif.) Superior Court has entered a judgment for all defendants following the recent trial on claims by Elbert Thomas that he suffers from neurological impairments from exposure to their welding products. Thomas v. A.O. Smith Corp., No. RG-06-272122 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
Superior Court Judge Robert Freedman issued the judgment on March 5, memorializing the Feb. 11 jury verdict for Lincoln Electric Co., ESAB Group and Hobart Brothers Co.
Judge Freedman gave defendants 15 days to submit a motion for costs as the prevailing party.
