LOS ANGELES - A California appeals court has upheld a decision dismissing a complaint brought by dozens of foundry workers who claimed they developed lung and other injuries as a result of occupational exposures to hazards, including silica. Navarrette, et al. v. Armite Laboratories Inc., et al., No. B203997 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).
The Second District California Court of Appeal on April 20 affirmed a trial court's decision to sustain demurrers and dismiss the case, which was brought by workers at the Price Pfister Foundry and had been amended four times prior to its dismissal.
