OAKLAND, Calif. - A California judge is expected to sign off on an order in all pilot and non-pilot silica cases in the state's coordinated docket that would permit the depositions of screening physicians and personnel responsible for diagnosing numerous plaintiffs with silica-related injuries. Brown v. Lone Star Industries Inc., et al., No. RG05210447 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

Draft orders have been submitted to the judge overseeing the silica docket in Alameda County Superior Court that, if signed, would allow for scheduling of depositions for the seven individuals. Those who may be deposed by defendants include Dominic Gaziano, M.D., …
