WASHINGTON, D.C. - A federal appeals court has affirmed a decision by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to reject a former airman's claim that his heart and thyroid problems are linked to exposure to radiation and toxins while a member of the U.S. Air Force. <i.Croyle v. Shinseki, No. 07-1884 (U.S. Ct. App. for Veterans Claims).
The U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims on April 21 affirmed the decision by the Board of Veterans Appeals that Albert B. Croyle failed to overcome expert testimony that his illnesses were not related to occupational exposures.
