JACKSON, Miss. - A federal judge has denied motions by welding products defendants to overturn a $2.9 million verdict reached by jurors on March 6 and granted plaintiffs' motion to seek attorneys' fees and costs. Jowers v. BOC Group Inc., et al., No. 108-cv-00036-KMO-JMR (S.D. Miss.).
Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley ruled on post-trial motions and other matters on April 1 and gave defendants 28 days to either accept or challenge Robert and Donna Jowers' request for $2,173,185.73 in fees and costs.
