Calif. Court Sets 9 Cases for Trial Beginning in This Summer

OAKLAND, Calif. - The judge overseeing coordinated silica proceedings in California has set nine cases for trial beginning in June 2009 and extending through early 2010. Johnson v. Lone Star Industries Inc., No. RG05210455 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
In an order issued shortly after a Jan. 23 case management conference, Alameda County Superior Court Judge Robert B. Freedman set all four remaining original "pilot" cases for trial, in addition to several others that have been fast -tracked by the court. A fifth case had already been set for trial on March 20.
