SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge has remanded a former airline worker's state-law discrimination claims to state court, ruling that the claims are not preempted by federal law. Oilund v. United Airlines, et al., No. C 08-4016 (N.D. Calif.).
Judge Thelton E. Henderson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said in his Jan. 16 order that he was not addressing the merits of Larry Oilund's claim against United Airlines, but was ruling only that the federal Railway Labor Act was not a proper basis for removal.
