Federal Court Limits Testimony by Welder's Ergonomic Expert

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - A federal judge said he would allow some testimony by an ergonomics expert retained by a former welder seeking damages for hand trauma, but found some of the proffered testimony prejudicial and unsupported by sufficient facts and data. Campbell v. Consolidated Rail Corp., et al., No. 1:05-CV-1501 (N.D. N.Y.).

The order was issued by Judge Glenn T. Suddaby of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York on Jan. 6, the day the personal injury case was to begin trial.
