Vioxx MDL Court to Hear Oral Argument on Motions for New Trials

NEW ORLEANS - The judge overseeing the federal Vioxx MDL will soon hear oral argument on motions for new trials in three of the five federal Vioxx cases that have reached verdicts. In Re: Vioxx Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1657 (E.D. La.).

On March 5, Judge Eldon E. Fallon of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana scheduled oral argument on Merck & Co. Inc.'s motion for a new trial on all issues in Barnett v.
