Calif. Judge Designates Single Case for State's Next Vioxx Trial

LOS ANGELES - Merck & Co. Inc. will defend against only one case in California's next Vioxx trial, as counsel for Merck and plaintiffs in the state's coordinated Vioxx proceeding determined that the single case is the only one currently in the myocardial infarction trial pool that will be fully prepared by April.
