NEW ORLEANS - Merck & Co. Inc. and several of its insurers have moved for a protective order preventing plaintiffs in the federal Vioxx MDL from conducting or requesting insurance-related depositions or documents, saying that the discovery is irrelevant, duplicative and confidential.
