PSC Urges MDL Court to Preserve Liability Findings, Grant Remittitur

NEW ORLEANS - The federal Vioxx MDL court should permit a plaintiff who won a $50 million compensatory damages verdict to accept a remittitur rather than undergo a new trial based on the court's finding that the award was excessive, the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee says.
