NEW ORLEANS - A former professional hockey player who blames Vioxx for a heart attack he suffered in 2004 says that the unique nature of his product liability lawsuit properly warranted remand as ordered by the federal Vioxx MDL court. Robbie Tallas and his wife on Sept. 12 filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana an opposition to Merck & Co. Inc.'s motion for reconsideration of District Judge Eldon E. Fallon's order remanding the plaintiffs' suit to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
