N.J. Judge Orders Plaintiffs to Disclose Vioxx-Related Medical Records

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The state judge overseeing New Jersey's Vioxx litigation has granted Merck & Co. Inc.'s request that plaintiffs be required to submit copies of all of their Vioxx-related medical and prescription records. In Re: Vioxx Litigation, Case No. 619 (N.J. Super. Ct., Atlantic Cty.).

In an order filed Jan. 29 in the Atlantic County Superior Court, Judge Carol E. Higbee said that plaintiffs shall serve with their Plaintiff Fact Sheets copies of Vioxx prescription records, records from the medical provider who prescribed Vioxx to the plaintiff and records from the initial diagnosis or treatment for the injury …
