Calif. Jury Suspends Deliberations in Vioxx Cases until January

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles jury considering two Vioxx lawsuits against Merck & Co. Inc. has adjourned until January after failing to reach a verdict after three days of deliberations. Vioxx® Cases, JCCP No. 4247 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The jury of eight women and four men in the Los Angeles County Superior Court is scheduled to return Jan. 11 to further consider the cases of Lawrence Appell and Rudolph Arrigale (Appell v.
