NEW YORK - Autonomy and cost were the primary concerns when parties assembled recently for a status conference in the recently created New York state MDL for Celebrex and Bextra claims. In Re: New York Bextra/Celebrex Product Liability Litigation, No. 109535/05 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).
The conference, held Feb. 2, before Judge Shirley W. Kornreich of the New York County Supreme Court, was the first since nearly 100 Celebrex and Bextra claims were transferred to Judge Kronreich in December.
