AUSTIN, Texas - The Multidistrict Panel in Texas that granted a motion to transfer and consolidate more than 50 state court Vioxx cases in Houston has chosen a judge to preside over the proceedings. In Re: Vioxx Litigation, No. 05-0436 (Texas Sup. Ct.).
Judge Randy Wilson of the 157th District Court of Harris County will oversee the state's Vioxx docket, according to an order issued Sept. 6 in the Texas Supreme Court.
