Iowa Plaintiff Blames Remicade for Brain Damage

IOWA CITY, Iowa - The mother of a Crohn's Disease patient has sued the manufacturer of Remicade, alleging the biologic therapy was defective and caused her daughter to suffer severe brain damage. Jennifer Rae Zach, et al. v. Centocor Inc., et al., No. LACV066002 (Iowa Dist. Ct., Johnson Cty.).
On July 8, Marjorie Carson-Zach, as mother and conservator of Jennifer Rae Zach, filed a lawsuit in the Iowa District Court for Johnson County against Centocor Inc., which manufactures and markets Remicade, and Johnson & Johnson Inc., which owns Centocor.
