BATON ROUGE, La. - A Louisiana judge has dismissed numerous causes of action included in a complaint alleging injury caused by ingestion of Aleve, determining that they are not recognized by state products liability laws. Stanley v. Bayer AG, et al., No. 05-541 (W.D. La.).
The causes of action were dismissed by Judge James T. Trimble Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, after Aleve manufacturer Bayer AG argued that they are precluded by the Louisiana Products Liability Act.
