Alabama Man Files Bextra Wrongful Death Complaint

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - An Alabama man has filed a wrongful death complaint against Pfizer Inc. on behalf of the estate of a woman who died after taking the drug Bextra. Blue v. Pfizer, Inc., No. 05-0464 (N.D. Ala.).

The lawsuit, filed March 18 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, alleges that Pfizer heavily promoted the drug, while concealing, misrepresenting or understating its dangerous side effects.
