BEAUMONT, Texas - Pfizer Inc. has removed a Celebrex personal injury suit to federal court alleging that the physician and sales representative named in the complaint were fraudulently joined. Carey v. Pfizer Inc., et al., No. 05-81 (E.D. Texas).
In a removal notice filed March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Pfizer argues that plaintiff George Carey's complaint fails, among other things, to contain allegations against the two non-diverse defendants upon which they may be held liable for Carey's alleged injuries.
