NEW YORK - Several New York residents have sued the makers of three arthritis drugs for allegedly causing heart attacks and strokes which they say the drugs' manufacturers never alluded to in efforts to market the products. Cavallo, et al. v. Pfizer Inc., et al., No. 05-818 (S.D. N.Y.).
In a complaint filed Jan. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the four plaintiffs contend that their injuries were caused by their ingestion of Vioxx, Celebrex and Bextra. The three arthritis drugs are currently being examined by the FDA in the wake of data …
