NEW ORLEANS - Wyeth Inc. has moved to dismiss an Enbrel personal injury suit in which the plaintiff claims she developed an optic disorder after taking the drug that left her blind in one eye. Pompey v. Immunex Corporation, et al., No. 04-3357 (E.D. La.).

In the motion, filed Dec. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Wyeth argues that the claims of Victoria Pompey sound entirely in negligence, which is not a valid cause of action under the Louisiana Products Liability Act.
