JPML to Hear Vioxx Transfer and Consolidation Motions Jan. 27 in Florida

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) will hear argument Jan. 27 on several motions to transfer nearly 200 federal Vioxx cases to a consolidated MDL docket, HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting. In Re: Vioxx Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1657 (JPML).

In an order issued this morning, the JPML said it will hear argument in the U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building in Fort Myers, Fla. Argument is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 27, 2005.
