Pfizer Challenges Study Linking Bextra to Heart Attacks

photo-1Pfizer Inc. fired back at reports in early November that a recent study concluded the risk of heart attacks among those taking the drug Bextra may be more than double that of heart attack rates among those who received placebo as part of the study.
In a Nov. 10 press release, Pfizer said the conclusions were unsubstantiated and based on information that has not been published in a medical journal or subjected to independent scientific review.
