COLUMBIA, S.C. - The husband of a woman whose March 28, 2001, death was allegedly caused by injuries resulting from her use of Remicade, is suing the manufacturers of the Crohn's disease treatment claiming that they misrepresented the biologic's safety profile. Huff v. Centocor Inc., et al. No. 04-1279 (D. S.C.).
Marcus Huff filed suit against Centocor, Johnson & Johnson and Ortho-McNeil on March 25 in the Circuit Court for the Second Judicial District of Aiken County, complaining that the companies failed to adequately warn physicians and consumers regarding Remicade's association with the risk of tuberculosis and other infections.
