FORT WORTH, Texas - A federal judge awarded summary judgment to the manufacturers of Enbrel after the plaintiff failed to respond to the companies' March 15 motion. Hahn v. Amgen, Inc. et al., No. 03-CV-855-Y (E.D. Texas).

In an order entered April 16, U.S. District Judge Terry R. Means also denied Randa Hahn's motion to extend deadlines for designating physicians and medical experts, finding that she failed to demonstrate good cause for the requested extension.

Hahn allegedly suffered headaches and dizziness in 2000 after she started using the biologic twice-per-week for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Her symptoms worsened over …
