Doctors Move to Dismiss, Remand Celebrex Injury Suit

SAN FRANCISCO - Several doctors named as defendants in an Alabama Celebrex claim have asked a federal judge in California to either dismiss them from the suit, or send the entire case back to the state court where it was originally filed. Dabbs, et al. v. Pfizer Inc., et al., No. 05-1699 (N.D. Calif.).

The move, urged in a motion filed March 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, comes after the doctors failed to consent to removal of the case prior to its transfer to the Celebrex/Bextra MDL.
