Ala. Judge Sets First Celebrex Lawsuit Trial for June

CLAYTON, Ala. - A state judge has set a June 6 trial date for a lawsuit filed by an Alabama woman who claims she suffered a stroke at age 53 as a result of ingesting the arthritis painkiller Celebrex. Ware v. Pfizer Inc., et al., No. CV-2005-040 (Ala. Cir. Ct., Barbour Cty.).
Counsel for Rosie Ware said that, barring any delays, the June trial in Alabama's Circuit Court of Barbour County will be the first Celebrex case to be tried in the country.
