November 4, 2004
TRENTON, N.J. - The New Jersey Supreme Court has turned down a request to designate Celebrex, Remicade and Enbrel lawsuits as mass torts and coordinate the litigation in a single court.
The high court said in a Notice to the Bar Sept. 27, '[t]he Supreme Court has considered the application, made pursuant to Rule 4:38A and the Mass Tort Guidelines, to designate all pending and future litigation statewide involving Celebrex, Remicade and Enbrel as mass torts, as well as the comments received in response, and has determined not to designate the litigation as mass torts at this time.'
