Lawsuit Says Pfizer’s Depo Testosterone Caused Louisiana Man’s Anxiety, Heart Problems

LAFAYETTE, La. — A 43-year-old Louisiana man and his wife have sued the makers of Depo Testosterone, alleging that the drug caused him to develop anxiety, hypertension and other conditions that ultimately led to his hospitalization and treatment in a hyperbolic chamber.
In a May 28 complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Daniel and Tonya Duffy accuse Pfizer Inc. of convincing millions of men that they unnecessarily required treatment with drugs like Depo Testosterone, while withholding information about their safety profiles and propensity to cause cardiovascular injuries.
