TAMPA, Fla. - A federal appeals court upheld a district court's decision to exclude general causation evidence from a plaintiffs' expert who testified that the acne drug causes inflammatory bowel disease. Rand, et al. v. Hoffmann-La Roche, Nos. 07-13883 - 07-13891 (11th Cir.).
The 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals issued the order Aug. 26, affirming an award of summary judgment to Accutane manufacturer Hoffmann-La Roche in nine IBD cases pending in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
