PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia lawsuits filed by those who claim they were injured by the cholesterol-lowering drug Baycol have been consolidated in Common Pleas Court here. In Re: Baycol Litigation, No. 011100001 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).
An order entered Nov. 16 by Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Allen L. Tereshko designates all such claims under the court's Mass Tort Program entitled "Baycol Litigation."
Teresko entered the coordination order just two weeks after entering a similar directive on behalf of all claims filed by those who alleged injuries resulting from the use of over-the-counter medicines containing PPA.
