Judge Allows Testimony of 5 Experts In Viagra MDL

MINNEAPOLIS - A Minnesota federal judge overseeing the Viagra multidistrict litigation has rejected efforts to strike testimony from two plaintiff experts and three defense experts on whether Viagra causes non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). In Re: Viagra Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1724, No. 06-md-1724 (D. Minn.).
However, on April 2, Judge Paul A. Magnuson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota did strike testimony of two other plaintiff experts, ruling that the experts do not provide a valid connection between Viagra (sildenafil citrate) and vision loss.
