NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Michigan plaintiffs barred by statute from asserting product liability claims against pharmaceutical companies are further precluded by federal preemption from making allegations that could prove an exception to the law, a judge has ruled. In re Aredia and Zometa Products Liability Litigation, 07-1194, 06-0368, 06-0393 (M.D. Tenn.).
Judge Todd J. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee issued the ruling April 2, dismissing claims by three plaintiffs in the Aredia and Zometa Products Liability MDL.
