ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A New Jersey jury has awarded $10.5 million in compensatory damages and $78,500 for medical expenses to a woman who claims she developed inflammatory bowel disease after taking Hoffman-LaRoche Inc.'s Accutane. Kamie S. Kendall v. Hoffman-La Roche Inc., No. ATL-L-8213-05-MT (N.J. Super., Atlantic Cty.).

On April 22, the Atlantic County Superior Court jury voted 7-2 to award plaintiff Kamie S. Kendall $78,500 for past medical expenses and $10.5 million in unspecified compensation.
