ARTICLE: 'Risks Of Suicide and Poisoning Among Elderly Patients Prescribed Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors'

SUMMARY: This study examines records of 128,229 patients 65 years and older who were prescribed serotonin reuptake inhibitors between January 1998 and December 2004. Risks of suicide and poisoning were compared during periods when the patients were treated with an SSRI against periods with no antidepressant treatment.
